After a last nice trip last weekend, TamTam is on the dry.

The next weeks we´ll start some projects for the winter.
First thing will be some epoxy work below the keel, a bigger project will be a chain locker and adding an inner forestay.
So, what are your plans for the winter?

I'm really interested in the chain locker project. I hope you post pictures of the work.
Thanks!

Are you planning a 'windlass in a well' type of chain locker? IIRC, Jesper Milling did a beautiful job creating one on his boat, but I can't find the photos or article he wrote anywhere.
Anyone have a link?
We hope to finalize the accommodation and stowage plans, tho some of the painting and epoxy work will need to wait for next year. Start thinking hard about sails and sail handling. Maybe make some cushions and curtains. Splice up some halyards, possibly make new standing rigging and lifelines. (We just put the old lifelines back on the boat yesterday. What a difference they make to the appearance!)
Edit: Stupid boy I am. Looked everywhere for the Jesper Milling photos except
here, on page two.
Anyway, you have probably already seen this locker, but:

Probably, we will build it a little like this:

It seams to me, the chain locker at the forepeack is a bad idea. Not good for the boat, because it takes a making hole in a deck near the bow. Ballad don't need it. It is enough space for chaine into aft locker, or into port or starboard lockers.
