Re: Mast step truss, inevitably:(
I must have been living under a rock :) I only just came across this thread. Long story short I had a look at the mast step truss aboard Obelix (#332). I can't see any corrosion above the big blob of thickened resin. I have none of the other signs (visible rust). I wonder why my mast step truss appe...

Re: Restoring Fionn (1972 Ballad #18(?))
A few more photos to annoy you with. ;) Final test fit of the port side furniture. All major bulkheads are now glassed in place, may they never move again. Yay. Re: New table, what to do?
I was considering something similar but I think my stove is going to get in the way. I have the Lagun table leg ready to install once I'm done with the stove. My current plan is to mount the table leg on the starboard bunk. I'm considering glassing in a support in behind the place where the table le...

Re: Refleks diesel heater (new gadget aboard Obelix ()
This looks interesting. Could you mount it on the bulkhead between the mast and the side of the bunk, or is it too big? I'm still looking for a heater, preferably Diesel. They do have a bulkhead mounted version of the 66 model. Sadly I don't think there is enough space to mount the 66 (the smallest...

Re: New table, what to do?
Right now I'm leaning towards mounting it on the starboard bunk but I'm not sureBob McGovern wrote:Where are you planning to mount the base? Any thoughts?

Re: New table, what to do?
Thanks guys I've ordered one of those Lagun tables. It's on it's way to Denmark from Sweden. For some reason they are a lot cheaper in Sweden (Denmark: 1600 DKK vs Sweden: 1050 DKK). I'll post a picture once I get it mounted

Refleks diesel heater (new gadget aboard Obelix ()
Oh man! I'm so excited! :) I had only planned on visiting the refleks factory to get some inspiration but I simply could not resist once I was there. Good thing I'm single ;) Now I just need to figure out how much of the starboard bunk I want to remove. The rule is 10 cm to flammable material that a...

Re: New table, what to do?
I really like the idea of an articulating arm that somehow fits in the mast track. Thanks, Bob I don't suppose you have a link to a photo?
