I converted a cheap floating standard winch to fit an old small winch
I works well
The cheap floating winch handle has an aluminium stock making it easy to cut into shape

the boat was balanced on its keel but the lines for and aft were quite tight, the sea bed sloped away from the wall slightly ,i never felt any movement at all, very secure. for a tip the mast was tied 1/2 way up to the top of the harbour wall which stopped the boat tipping away from the wall as the ...
